My old church put up this statement..
'God is everything, so something without God is nothing'
I told them that I would be interested to know why they think that's true ..
God is everything

Re: God is everything
That statement is wrong on multiple levels.
Take the first part, “God is everything”.
God is not everything, and everything is not God.
And the second part, “so something without God is nothing“.
Something cannot be both something and nothing.
I see church bulletin boards all the time around here, and more often than not, they say something that makes me shake my head. Either unbiblical, or bad grammar.
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
“A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves.”
