While I've been traveling a lot lately, I'm finally back to posting on some new topics.

In this post, not only will you learn from apologist Wes Huff the details and origins of how various Bible and ancient translations have rendered God's actual name, but incredibly, you will also learn that His name of Yahweh is PROVEN to have been known in the land of Egypt since the 15th Century BC - from the time that the Bible says that God famously revealed Himself to Moses through the Burning Bush. Widely acclaimed archaeologist and researcher Joel Richardson of Expedition Bible has asserted that the Pharaoh during the time of Moses and the plagues was Amenhotep II. Richardson has now documented that, through a monument inscription found in the Temple of Soleb (in modern day Sudan), built by his successor, Amenhotep III, the Jews of the Exodus were not only in the land, just as the Bible says they were, but it also identifies their God as Yahweh, meaning, His name was known in the lands of Egypt 3,500 years ago - just as the Bible states. SEE THIS VIDEO to see Richardson's documentation authenticating both Yahweh's name and the Jews nomadic presence in Egypt during the 15th century BC!

God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The Lord,1 the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations." (Exodus 3:15, ESV)
In this post, Apologist WES HUFF weighs in (see the video at the BOTTOM of this post) with explanations over the differences in how various Bible versions render God's Holy name. Some render it as "LORD," some as "YAHWEH," and a few as "Jehovah." But WHY the differences - and how did they originate? Wes explains.
Today, most Christian Bibles render God's name as "LORD," some as "YAHWEH," a few as "Jehovah." The King James (1611), American King James (1999), and some KJV-style revisions still translate God's name as "Jehovah," as do Webster's Bible Translation (1833), and the English Revised Version (1885). The New Living Translation (1996) uses "Yahweh" in Exodus 3:15 and 6:3 (so, not as "Jehovah" throughout) - AND NOTE, the use of "Jehovah" in the NLT is NOT to be confused with the use of "Jehovah" found in the book Jehovah Witnesses use, its New World Translation (which is NOT a Christian Bible translation - as it widely distorts and strategically edits both the Old and New Testaments handed down through Church history, so as to deny the Deity of Christ and the Trinity, etc). The New World Translation is published by the JW's Watch Tower organization (do a search on this website for information explaining the false theology and assertions found within it).
Note that there are many other titles and names that refer to God found across the Old and New Testaments - See them HERE!
