Re: The Epicurean paradox

Good post Narnia, especially outlining the leap of logic from knowing something to causing it.

Re: The Epicurean paradox

Okay, so i'll post a direct reply to all the unanswered replies later on tomorrow, half asleep so i'll just make a general post. What most, if not all failed to understand is that i'm assuming that God is omnipotent, I shall explain what this word means; Unlimited power "1.A deity is able to d...

Re: marriage hall

The problem I have with this whole debate is the fact they want to change the etymology of the word to suit their desires. If marriage has always been defined as a union between man and women, then let homosexual couples come up with a new word to describe their union. If they want to have the same...

Re: Christopher Hitchens passed away

Well first, one of the greatest minds of our times is really, really a stretch. I think some of these people are forgetting that even many atheists admitted that Hitchens was demolished by Craig in their debate, he's been demolished by others. He wasn't a professional in theology and lacked knowled...

PaulSacramento wrote:He made me a better christian a better apologist and I think I speak for many in that regard.
His views made me examine my faith and how to present it and defend it.
I thank him for that.
Likewise, the same can be said with the New Atheism group overall.

Re: The foundation for a meaninglful life or action.

Conventional wisdom? Ok. That's...uh....what exactly? What do I think is the requirements of purpose? You are talking about everything or just persons? first off, the excluding of persons from purpose would commit the taxicab fallacy. On that note, purpose is tricky. However, I hold the view that A...

Re: Can God Ever Have An Original Thought?

So, despite our different viewpoints on the reality or attributes of time, of how God relates to "it," and per my original post and question, I'm sensing that most here would agree with me by saying that God cannot have an ORIGINAL thought (one He has NEVER before known or contemplated), ...

OT trust-worthyness?

How trust worthy is the OT?

What are some evidence for its historicity?

God bless!

Re: Question about God the Father

I would agree with that Pastor the Father would be immaterial like the Holy Spirit just like the Second person of the Trinity who is in a body now as Jesus of Nazareth.

Re: Can God Ever Have An Original Thought?

I don't think God can create other "times", tell me how would that work? Cet-To, why would you think there could be ANYTHING God couldn't do, as long as it is not a fallacy type of thing, or sinful, and IF He so desired to do it and it so pleased Him to do it? Note my question it already ...

Re: Can God Ever Have An Original Thought?

Cet-To, this has become a straining of knats - a pointless dialogue. My entire point is that God has no limitations as to what He CAN do (not in what He CHOOSES to do, but in what He has the ABILITY to do), outside of logical fallacies, sinful acts, and self-imposed constraints, and that there are ...
