Re: Open Science Discussin about GOD's Existence
BryanH, I suspect you're trying to make a point and not intending it, but the fact that you qualify that something is from your point of view, doesn't make telling someone they're presenting themselves at a childish level any less insulting or any less of an ad hominem attack.

Re: Moderator/s Stepping Down
I too will be stepping down as moderator, although I've promised to stick around a little later than the other just to help the newer mods transition. I will not be leaving the board. I've been a mod for 6 years and my participation has waned the last while below what I think someone on the moderati...

Re: Finally Picked a creation stance.
Keep in mind that the focus on original sin as the cause of death is as much an issue for OEC as for TE. In that regard they are subsets of one another.

I keep up with Biologos and I have a lot of respect for them and for Francis Collins who is the founder. They're an important voice in this conversation, in my experience and opinion. They really cheese off Ken Ham too, which in my flesh is just an added bonus!

Re: Finally Picked a creation stance.
TE is broader than just accepting evolution scientifically and making God it's author and turning the Old Testament and Genesis to myth. That's an extreme characterization and not a fair one to project on the entire movement even if it is true of some elements of it or some who identify themselves a...

Re: American Revolution & Romans 13
Jesus never confused the Kingdom of God with the Kingdoms of men. Neither should we. America, as much as I love it and glad to be a part of it, isn't the replacement for the nation of Israel as God's chosen nation. It has good and bad and wrong and right. The Roman Empire at the time of Jesus' publi...

Re: Biblical Unitarian
Last I checked, while I have issues with many forms of what is being classified here as "unitarianism", being a Christian isn't defined primarily by how we understand key elements of doctrine. As important as we might believe that to be, becoming focused on that would in effect leave us as...

Re: Finally Picked a creation stance.
Byblos, I certainly understand that, as I've wrestled those positions for a good part of my Christian adult life. And the problem as I see it (and it's simply my opinion) is that what you state is actually the problem. It presumes to resolve contradictions, and harmonize the Bible to the natural wo...

Re: Why did God create Man?
Because God is a Trinity with perfect relationship within Him. He is love and love is at the core of who He is. It's not an abstract concept. It's a concrete reality. God didn't "need" to create man because God has no need that is not fulfilled within Himself. Because God is who He is and ...

The last tornado to go through a Florida trailer park did about $2 million dollars in improvements.
