Idk. I feel kinda bleh when I do it, but I think masturbation has to be taken in context.

I read an account from someone who went several months without masturbating delibrately, yet in his story he was "loving" several different women a week and constantly thinking about how he could meet new women to "love." That seems like the same issue just in a different form.

And even putting fornication aside, if you're constantly spending your time trying to find other outlets for your sexual energy, is that really any different? And what if you're gay or have other reasons why you can't find an outlet through a normal marriage?

So I think what's healthy is knowing yourself and being honest with yourself. I think it's better to consider how and why we've chosen, at any given instance, to masturbate, rather than whether we are or aren't in general.

Yes -- there's always been a stigma against masturbation. Parents have usually noticed that baby boys will discover their new 'play toy'. And with puberty comes hormones. So a person Might ask, which is better / worse // a teen who discovers how to 'please themselves' by themselves with out a partner OR finds someone else who's also curious and actually Act On their curiosities. The solo activity would be better, by far. But that activity Also gets the body Used to that activity and it's hard to Stop. In That aspect -- it's Not good. That can include porn, too. It's probably Better to find an active sport to be involved in. Wear off the sexual energy in a healthy way.

What we do in the privacy of our own bedroom, well, God isn't limited by walls. He sees All. He also knows the why's and where fore's of our activities.

And, yes, I Have done that occasionally. Rarely any more.
