Kanye West's Church Services
I am very cynical about Kanye West's church - but here is an interesting article about what it's ultimate message is about:
https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/c ... vice-jesus
A pastor, Rich Wilkinson, recently preaching at the church, made the following statements in the service:
“If you’re new to Sunday Service, we just want to let you know we’re so glad you’re here," Wilkerson said atop a boulder in the 11-minute video he posted on Instagram. "You are welcome to be here, but you should probably know that this is not a concert, this is not a performance, but rather an old-fashioned worship service of Jesus Christ.
He read, in part: "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
And recently, Wilkinson responded to criticism that Jesus being the only way is a wrongful and exclusive belief:
"I would ask is He being exclusive or is He just being specific?" the celebrity pastor said, offering an example that if someone wanted to get to his home in Miami from Key West they would need to take I-95.
So, just maybe, even in Hollyweird Land, there is hope that some people might glimpse Christ!

Im sorry. What I meant to say, was, "With friends like Google, who sell your personal information to the highest bidder", who needs enemies?
Is that better?

I think it's awesome the page Kanye has turned in his life.
Also quite like some songs in his new album, Jesus is King: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T58tRXz ... Ze0QI1tED8

Re: Kanye West's Church Services
Didn't you watch him with James Corden? He reads the Bible after kids are in bed. Perhaps it is to the shame of Christian "leaders" to date, that God uses someone so brand new. Seems to me God is using him to harvest many such just can't reach. There are flaws I see, but God makes do with flawed vessels just fine.

Re: Kanye West's Church Services
NO! And if he has truly turned to the Lord, then he will begin to abandon such things and see them differently / as sin. We just can't know yet, for certain, what is going on with him, in his heart. But God saves people where they ARE, not where he wants them to be behavior-wise. A new Christian is merely saved, and the sanctification process has merely begun in the sense of attitude, beliefs and behavior. One doesn't get their act together and THEN God saves them - that's not how He works. And one doesn't become saved and then immediately they've got their sin issues and attitude under control. But it does mean they have submitted to God and recognized that His ways are what they should always be striving for. But learning to walk as God wants us is a long and messy process.Blessed: I guess this makes up for promoting violence, materialism, sex with underage girls and distributing pornography huh .. ?
And one last thing - we should all be praying for Kanye in his faith and influence of it. If he'll be receptive to God's promptings, God could use him to reach millions who wouldn't set foot in a church!

Re: Kanye West's Church Services
Is God both Righteous and Loving?
Blessed, if you're going to lean into God's righteousness, then we're all in a sticky position because we're all deserving of God's righteous wrath. Unless you are saying you're righteous enough to meet God's standard, or that some of us are?
Perhaps you should go into a monastery and whip yourself every evil thought like Luther once did. Perhaps you'll learn to be 100% righteous. Yet, it won't undo your wrong to date, but perhaps, just perhaps God will deem you righteous if you're able to be good "enough" from here on out. Then again, a fully righteous God ought to reject you even for one wrong.
