Originally I was here for the business conventions and trade show expos - I.E. sales introductions and rubbing elbows purposes. That was my original intent. Before moving to Vegas it came to my attention I was set to lose my largest client. So I needed more clients to make it up. However in reality it was a ploy by them so I would not raise their fees (which worked).

Instead of leaving Vegas when I was supposed to... I stayed... and kept extending the month-to-month lease. I should've left after the shooting. But I'm just so bored with life. Every month I lost more and more money. The "glamorous" "luxurious" casinos started to feel very sleezy.

I had also got into a disagreement with my Dad about a large house I wanted to purchase in Daytona Beach, FL. That was also related to me being here which I would not get into.

My flight leaves in 4 hours. Looking forwarding to spending Christmas with my family. The only people who really love me. This morning was the only time I woke up with happiness, enthusiasm and joy - in 5 months.

Thank you for asking.

Well - best to leave Vegas and find a place in better sun shine. Too Hot in the desert there and too sleezy. Back in spring 1981 I worked in Ely NV in a Casino - I was a Nevada State 'Licensed Dealer' dealing 21 and Crap's at the Bank Club. What a miserable depressing Job. My sister lived there at the time and went out there to help recover from a severe staff infection in her eyes and worked there during the summer - only job I could find and gladly left there to move to Colorado after my sister fully recovered.

I still have the expired license to remind me never gamble and how seedy casinos are and how weird people can get when they gamble. Back then, you shuffled the cards to mathematically stack the deck in the houses favor by a 33 shuffle - cut the four decks of Cards into 3 piles and shuffle each 3 times = 33 shuffle. If that didn't work try a 44 shuffle or 63 shuffle... drop cards into shoot and go.

Craps was interesting - and high action - the waitress would bring drinks to the folks to get them high and drunk to keep them gambling and the people keep rolling, playing corners, or the table. Most lost. You would do 'set up' - what is that?

That is when someone hired by casino in secret goes in a enlivens up the table, draws a crowd, wins big but folks do not know the guy playing is hired by the casino to do that - dice are specials for just such an occasion which are switched by the table operator to win or lose by design. I was on stick, moving chips around and the other guy set the dice. Nasty. The same thing happens in the big casinos in Vegas... but who believe the house cheats?

No churches to attend there of any value at that time. I was a young Christian way back then and didn't know to much other than needed a job in a small town to help my sister who lived there as she had a job at a dentist office back then but couldn't work till here eyes got better. It was a strange place. Glad it ended and moved out. My sister moved shortly after I did to another city. Thank God for his grace!

A company I was helping was taken over by a new managing CEO who wanted to have me fly down to essentially let a competing company tap my brain and steal my online marketing know-how et al. I saw the writing on the wall, refused to fly down but gave other reasonable options. His reaction was absolutely childish and he showed his true colours and intent.

It was essentially a setup, as he'd already made the decision to move away. I believe he was looking for justification to present to the board it seems to move away from us to his own preferred team. In any case, we parted, I left knowing we did entirely right by them, gave them lots of visitors and business, and now... since they were my main client, things are a little high and dry financially. If I didn't give them such time and attention I'd likely been in a better spot today. Doing the right thing doesn't always pay well, but I have faith in Christ between my ideas and His making my paths straight that things will turn out for the best.

So then, rather than raising your fees, you still have a client. By the sounds of it, they must be a very good paying client for you to travel to LV and spend some months there. Don't overlook the blessings you do have. It's great you have some family too who you can spend some time with.
