Re: Flag Desecration

As I'm convinced some of you are unaware of, burning the "Star Spangled Banner" is actually the proper way to dispose of it if it is damaged. It's actually considered respectful by the government, believe it or not. At any rate, I think actually burning it to desecrate it should be legal. ...

Re: UN "Rights of the Child" Treaty

Yes, it's horrible. And I absolutely hate how there is no more true sovereignty within America anymore. But is this new? Not by any means. If you've done your research, the U.N. already influences a great amount of decisions made by government schools. It's like how they're trying to seize jurisdict...

"Unidentified" worm creature found in sewer.

For those of you who haven't heard about this viral video, allow me to link you to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcKpx2DxGwY I know a lot of people in the world are going to jump to the conclusion that it is "proof of evolution" or a fake, but upon doing a bit of research I've become ...

Re: Is "self defence" fine or wrong?

I suppose y'all are right. There have been various times when I've come close to being killed by domestic animals and humans- and If I'd not fought, I'd have died a rather slow and violent death. I'm worried that I don't exactly have it in me to take a life, though; because of all the times I've tak...

Is "self defence" fine or wrong?

While I can't see it as murder or whatnot, it's bothered me for a long time if I'm misinterpreting it. You know what I'm talking about; the parts where Jesus tells people to "turn the other cheek", as well as that part when... I don't remember whom it was cuts off that other guy's ear. A p...

Re: would you swear on the bible ?

Personally, I'd rather not swear on the Bible, or anything at all. If you're swearing on the Bible, you're essentially swearing on everything God said and quite a vast historical record to give us good examples(It is called the "Word of God" for a reason). It states that anything beyond &q...

Re: Are Aliens Real?

Personally, I don't think the whole "Greys/ Reptilians" thing has any substance to it other than cases of Sleep Paralysis. There are records of the Germans having developed "saucer shaped" flying craft during the second world war, and in all honesty, I think that if there are act...

Robots debate intelligent design

I wrote this short story a couple days ago. It's kind of lame, but does a decent-ish job at putting things into perspective, if you ask me. ------- Distantly into the future, about a thousand years from now, millions of sentient robots exist isolated from their manufacturer on distant worlds. Unable...

Re: New missing link primate? (Ida)

So to put bluntly, because there's a million year old lemur-like monkey that it's suddenly a common ancestor to chimpanzees, lemurs, and all mankind? Are they serious? Honestly, I'm not saying it can't be some sort of "primitive lemur", or whatever; but it simply amazes me how some of thes...

The "United Nations"

Before I start, just let me say first that I believe the United Nations is the largest threat to humanity within existence - at least when it comes to non-natural things. (Also, I would suggest you read the topic in the following link to get an idea of how serious this is: http://discussions.godands...

Are "Violent" video games wrong?

Seeing as how my free time is usually spent playing games in which violence is at least a minor part of the gameplay(with some exceptions), I would like to know if anything in the Bible would advise against such a practice. Personally, I don't even feel like I'm doing anything violent in most of the...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here

Hi Gaku, and welcome to the board! So when you said you are from the United States, did you just mean that that's what it's actually called, as opposed to "America"? I was just a little confused. :esmile: It's the same. As in the "United States Of America" United States. ... As ...

Re: Please Introduce Yourself Here

First of all, let me apologize for not noticing this topic, and first posting a couple questions as replies to the "board purpose" topic in the announcements subforum. I'm kind of new here, so I'm kind of confused by everything. Secondly, I'm from what I suppose can still be correctly call...

Re: Board Purpose

Sir, While I would like to go about thanking you first for what this website helped me out with relation to various scientific questions I was deeply bothered by, I must ask few questions regarding if the following types of topics are permissible for this board. Also, I apologize if I accidentally p...
