Re: Stars Went Billions of Years Back in Time When Created.

Let me put this as blunt as I can with my limited knowledge in physics. When something goes fast, it's time is slower relative to itself. When something goes to the speed of light, time stops relative to it, but it keeps going, and very quickly relative to every other thing. To get to the speed of l...

Re: If god is our "father", why can't we grow up and "play g

I, quite frankly, see "playing God" as viewing the cosmos as your own, intellectual property; people, planets, nebulae, etc.. To put simply, viewing everything of everyone your own as if it is your world, and acting upon it. Like, let's say someone became close enough, through some means, ...

191

Forgive me if this is in the wrong subforum, or a bit superstitious, or paranoid, but I keep seeing the number 191 again and again, and it's a rather odd, unusual number. If anyone knows what exactly it means in the Bible, please tell me, because I haven't found any relevance to it in it. These are,...

Re: Is "self defence" fine or wrong?

In case any of you have wondered, I got an actual, real sword a few days back. It's the same type of short sword people would have owned back in Roman times, and cut peoples' ears off with. Except this one was made in Pakistan, like half of all weapons now, but that's just the way things are, I gues...

Shoppers unwittingly lose soul due to Terms Of Service.

May not be the most reliable source since it's Fox News, but worth posting nonetheless.

Re: haitians should be given knowledge and not money

To be honest, I can agree the best "aid" is wisdom, because then they'd likely be able to support for themselves. A man can eat for a lifetime if you teach him to fish. And where do you think all this "aid", basically money, is going to? Because I have this really honest suspicio...

About chance and arguments.

I technically wouldn't use the word philosophy to describe this, but it seems from the subforum description that this is the right place. I know a lot of people say, in quite a few topics here, namely while debating in the evolution/creation thing, that "there's no such thing as chance". L...

Science Fiction Story

I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong category, or if this even belongs here, but I've recently been writing draft after draft for this science fiction story, and I've yet to write it in any particularly godly way or anything I find to be particularly... fitting for Christian audiences. Basically ...

Re: Walking with Dinosaurs

Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron. His bac...

This may not be any of my business, but...

I can't help but think about every time I go into the city if there's anything wrong about dying hair. Reason it may not be any of my business is because I don't. But seriously, I doubt blue, pink, or anything else like that is a natural colour, unless all these city-folk are actually anime characte...

Re: False positives/negatives

I would much prefer a few guilty people being let loose, than a few innocent people being found guilty. For reasons easily notable in history. But above that, I'd prefer the judicial system to be perfect instead... which it won't.

Re: "Climate change" treaty promoting global govt.

I hope to God this doesn't get passed. All we need are worldwide elections, then everyone's sovereignty goes out the window, and I don't mean just the governments. Just imagine how much worse propaganda will be in order to preserve a "worldwide democracy" so that everyone holds all this hu...

Re: When Did You Last Lead Someone to the Lord

Disregarding myself, I never have. I was close once- very close. But I got into an argument over something unimportant with him, and didn't converse with him for well over a month. Then he decided to talk with me again. I've had the same thing happen before a few times, but never with that at stake....

Re: Are the psychological stereotypes correct?

I can agree with Topic that there are a few good reasons to react according to people's behaviour. However, this doesn't mean whatever assumptions may come to mind are true: one of the biggest mistakes the large majority of people make is trusting someone too much. Unless you know someone personally...
